Perinatal Mental Health Counseling

Bringing a baby into your family can be a very special and exciting time, but with that also follows a quick tide of life changing experiences. Most medical practitioners you will encounter during this journey will not be capable of providing the time and space needed to process this increasingly emotional, mental, and physical experience. Doctors infrequently or minimally evaluate the extent of your barriers, resources or support systems. That is why having a therapist that is trained in perinatal mental health counseling, can be just as essential to your healthcare team as your OBGYN. No matter where you are at in starting your family it is never too soon to meet with a therapist!
